No Standardized Tests

STEAM is about creative thinking. Standardized tests are about being uniform. No uniform test will demonstrate STEAM ability.

Hands-On

STEAM is about hands-on,  project-based, student-active learning. Students thrive with hands-on learning projects, rather than soley sit down lecture classes.

Variety of Classes

STEAM covers a variety of subjects.  Having a mixture of STEAM-based classes is required.

Points-Based Admission

8 points or higher is required for consideration.

Hands-On STEAM Class

If you earn a C in a hands-on, project-based STEAM class you earn 1 points.

Hands-On STEAM Class

If you earn a B in a hands-on, project-based STEAM class you earn 2 points.

Hands-On STEAM Class

If you earn an A in a hands-on, project-based STEAM class you earn 3 points.

GPA

If your GPA is 3.5 to 3.74 you will earn 1 point.  

GPA

If your GPA is 3.75 to 3.99 you will earn 2 points.

GPA

If your GPA is 4.0, you will earn 3 points.

Honors Class

If you earn an A in an Honors class in the following subjects: science, technology, engineering, art, or math class.

Max two classes per subject.

AP Classes

If you earn an A in an AP class in the following subjects: science, technology, engineering, art, or math class.

Max two classes per subject.

College Classes

If you earn an A in dual enrollment (college) class in the following subjects: science, technology, engineering, art, or math class.

Max two classes per subject.
